Entrepreneurship Training Program
Do you have a great idea for a new construction, culinary, landscaping, cleaning, or other business? Would a $6,000 grant help you reach your goals? Then Bethel's Entrepreneurship Training Program is for you!
Thank you for completing and submitting your application. Registration is now closed. Check back often for our 2013 open enrollment and application process.
Bethel’s Entrepreneurship Training Program is for serious entrepreneurs who have already identified the area of business they want to pursue, but need expert guidance to minimize risk and maximize success. This program is geared toward the following types of entrepreneurs: entrepreneurs with new business ideas, owners of informally run businesses who want to become licensed and legally structured, and owners of emerging businesses that have been licensed and legally structured for less than two years.
In addition to classroom sessions and mentoring, the program has a 4-to-1 matched savings component. Students who successfully save $1,500 of their own income receive matching funds of $6,000 from Bethel, for a total of $7,500 toward business start-up costs.
Since the first session on December 4, 2012, our program participants have learned about:
- business plans and structures
- mission statements
- credit scores and financing
- start-up costs
- product and service descriptions
- legal structures
- marketing
- demographics
- industry trends
And that's just the first quarter of this intensive learning program, we refer to as a mini-MBA from Bethel New Life.
